Once a year, in most cases. Once we've tested your device the first time, we'll keep your date on file and reach out when the next one is coming up.

How long does a backflow test take?

Most residential and small commercial tests take under an hour, start to finish. We test the device, record the results, and take care of filing the certificate with the city.

What if my backflow device doesn't pass?

Devices wear out. Most repairs need the correct rebuild kit ordered for that specific device first, so we usually can't fix it on the spot -- we'll diagnose what's needed, order the kit, and come back to finish the repair and re-test as soon as it's in.

Backflow is when a drop in pressure lets water reverse course, pulling whatever it touched along the way (chemicals, fertilizer, even sewage) back toward the drinking supply.
